That is so exciting and frankly terrifying. My two move, but it’s such a snail’s pace. I’m not sure what I’ll do once they actually can move with purpose. I think I need to hire a babyproofer.
Incidently, the mat–I’ve been looking for something like that, but haven’t found something quite right. Could youshare what it is/where it came from?
I got them at a garage sale. But I’ve seen them at Sam’s Club, a brand-new set for between $20 – $40: http://bit.ly/18tMBZ (I’ve seen a cheaper set than this one there but I can’t seem to find it online.)
I just bought a huge play-yard enclosure that I love – it works as an octagon or as a super long gate (I use it like that to protect a huge doorway AND three bookcases lined up along a wall). It was $70 on Amazon and you can buy extension panels to make it even bigger. . .
Works really well for my niece, Piper eventually, and the 20 other babies that frequent our pad (there will be 6 here today and one more in-utero; plus Simon and another 2 yo. Also, just re-read that and OMG.).
Go Elise Go! Wait. I mean stay put, or only move in the exact same direction as your sister at any given time. LOL. our lives are about to get very interesting! Keep us posted on the mobility!
