Two Milestones, Two Days

Yesterday, Althea laughed.

I was making farting noises and it sent her over the edge. She burst out into a “Ha ha haaah!” It wasn’t a cough. It wasn’t a squeal. It was a laugh.

Then Elise had a moment too, today. For weeks, she’s been staring intently at the dangling toys on her bouncy seat. This morning, I noticed she was especially focused on the toys with her hands raised and open, as though she were trying to figure out how to grab the toys. While I was at work later this afternoon, Chris texted me saying that Elise had batted and grabbed at the toys on the play mat. 

I don’t know what’s happening, but it’s all happening too fast!
